light build can outrun you and get behind your mech with dual zimmermans themselves, and have enough movement to get out of range of your zimms/bullet orbits.
Once the excruciating long cooldown of your bullet orbit engages, they can come at you and outpace your hard lock relying slow ass.
Playing light builds require skill though.
You're welcome. ♥

Zimmermas are too good. Also AC is known for countering builds. You can counter bosses or players. You can be countered by bvosses and players. As long as player with countered build is not playing much better than enemy counter building works.

The problem with zimmermans isn't that they're too good, they aren't.
It's that people think they're too good because they have big burst and satisfying feedback.
Did some maths a few days ago, a zimmerman does about as much dps and impact per second as an harris rifle without charging shots, has between 1/3rd and 1/2 the range, and stays in the fight less than half the time that rifle will.
Zimms need a nerf, even temporary, to drive people to try other things though.

Ive only seen light builds work at around 380+ speed where you can literally stay at the exact distance that you want no matter how much they boost and you can dodge most shots by simply strafing.

Unfortunately you’ll have about 8k AP and your weapon selection is limited but if you use the bullet orbitals and laser pistols, needle pistols, or the stun guns you can make it happen.

Your margin for error will be pretty low.

:steamsad: it is very risky to fight AB zergman with normal boost and qb...

but if zergman is nerfed, nothing can stop wheelchair, tank and 4 foot :steamsad:

Light build is the best build in the entire game. I ruin Zimmermen and missile boat users. 99% of all zimmerman players Suck anyway, they just basically fire at most distances and even during a hardlock you can literally QB and not get hit by it.

The absolute Worst legs in the entire game, which can be beat by any build, is tank treads of any kind. Those are specific for newbs who suck massively at the game. Everything counters them if you have even mid skill.

I dunno, being able to do drive-by Plasma Mine Thrower/HAMMA is kinda fun. :ac6_idea:

Interesting view. And I agree for the most part. There are options out there to deal with zimmerbros. But you sacrifice some damage or capabilities but it's a mech game you gotta make choices. I think Zimmerman's would be acceptable if they dialed down it's stagger damage.

Not running from your team, and not having a team made of people hiding behind buildings playing like a missile boat but with shotguns or stun cannons.

Basically the only way to get full stunlocked is when teamwork is involved. But the more you play the more you will come to the horrifying realization that missile boats are more brave than half the "meme builds" and "counter meme builds", because at least they are supposed to run away.

It is even more shameless on short 2-3 minute time limit matches. and everyone spends the first 60 seconds staring at eachother from rooftops WHY DID YOU ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BRING SHOTGUNS THEN!? You can' even missile lock from that baby coward standoff range. Oh my god.

Here comes everyone with their opinions on builds. Just play what you like, and if someone can beat you, you need to change up your weapons to compete. No reason a heavy should be getting slammed by a light unless the heavy is using clunky guns that dont have enough time to hit someone zooming.

They have a 2 second reload time and an abysmal effective range. They're balanced enough as it is. If they changed anything about them, their shortcomings would make them not worth using.

I think the best advice for the OP, is that this game has a "rock, paper, scissors" approach when it comes to builds. Sometimes, you just meet the perfect counter to your setup and playstyle. Gotta either outplay them, or accept the L and move on to the next match.
