I mean, modding is one of the big undocumented features of PC games, and it's not like easy mode mods for games are a new thing.

It is what it is. If an easy mode mod is what a few people need to enjoy the game, who cares?

More power to them but I wouldn't call that enjoying the game. the fundamentals of these games are overcoming massive challenges and impossible odds, take that away and you have Armored Core with no core and Dark Souls with no soul.

This is why its called Filtered. The skill get through the rest gets caught in there own web of self doubt and limited skill.
Now anyone who has ever Filtered anything knows the material/People can over come and get through it.
Just takes some shakin and shifting. Kinda like this game. Shake and Shift and you wont get hurt as bad.
I wish we could see the "Filters" Tactics and why there all suffering so bad.
I bet i can guess it..... Ill give it a shot.

1st There going for max possible AP. Who needs to dodge volleys of 150 dmg
missiles when you have 20kAP.

2nd There using highest possible dmg weapon vs fliers and jumpers. Bazooka and Plasma are seige weapons. Not AC vs AC. Hell there rarely usable vs MT's.

3rd Trying to be snipers. Ok AC has never had a good sniping system. and unless your faster than everything. "Problem 1" Your not gonna be able to pick away at anything.

4th Melee the AOE things. Yes ive seen the videos people trying to melee. Head to head right into the enemy melee AOE. If your going to try melee. Never attack there front.

From above behind or a side. Head to head gets you hit and guess what. The game has more AP.
5th Stand and taking it with a shoulder shield. This...This is by far the funniest ♥♥♥♥. Those shields stop glancing blows. Direct hits...always have more right behind it. Thinking a barrier shield is the bread and butter of your survival. Thats the hand holding the filter your in.

6th Being soft and thinking you can dominate an AC game in under 10 mins. Yea your soft and you know it. a life of candy crush minecraft and COD has shaped you into the crying whining unskilled gamer wanna be you are today. But fear not creme puff. You can be saved.
Get off these forms. dry your eyes. Pick up the controller or mouse. and get to GETTING GUD.
With AC 6 being such a super hit do you seriously think there gonna go back to the ultra soft hit X to win you kids were raised on? NO!
Tough Nintendo hard games are coming back baby. So you better work your hand eye. You better start thinking in tactics not button mashing. and you better stop crying. Cause that just gives us skilled warriors Ha Ha fuel.

achievements remain attainable but you do get locked out of multiplayer as modding generally involves modifying the regulation.bin file that EAC looks at when going online. works the same way as elden ring.

why is it sad? it changes absolutely nothing for anyone else. if ppl are disabled or plain old not skilled enough but still enjoy the atmosphere of the game i see no issue with them installing an easy mode and are able to have fun.

They cheated not only the game, but themselves. They didn't grow. They didn't improve. They took a shortcut and gained nothing. They experienced a hollow victory. Nothing was risked and nothing was gained. It's sad that they don't know the difference.

People get so riled up over how others do things now. Even when it has little to no impact on them. Video games are vanity... and mean nothing in the end. It's saddening to see that people will look for anyway/anything to hate others and point fingers.

First get rid of the log in your own eye.
Then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend's eye.

The best way to do easy mode is to make every weapon deal direct damage. But it seems that kind of mod will go both ways.
