Full run build ideas
If you were going to do an entire run of the campaign with one build, no changes allowed, what build would you use? For the sake of creativity, let's leave out the double gats, stun-needle, zimmerman builds.

The build needs to be able to do every mission and boss with no changes.

I duno.
I beat the entire game with the starter AC just to see if I could.
But I did allow myself to use any OS tuning.
So I'll just say that because I already did it.

I have been working towards this almost successfully so far. Even as a guy not crying shotguns are OP.

Dagger for fast cooldown trash mop up (you will be glad it is there to multi kill shield MT in intercept redguns. just as long as you have at least 95+ melee on the arms. you WILL feel 80 or below melee stats fail to bypass shields with dagger!). or the basic blade because again, double tap great for shield MT or catching things to cause a stagger then following up with bigger hit.

X6 plasma missile. very heavy and drainy. But the reason you want it is it speeds up chump tier MT and drone multilock killing even with a bad at missiles FCS.

Default bazooka. Most ammo so you can use it on demand in a mission. Straight shot explosive projectile can save you a lot of time and headache because they will not bounce off of a staggered target that hurled itself so far even the stun needle cannon will deflect off it's stationary body. (♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wheels...)

From there is picking your primary weapon of choice. Box MG is shockingly solid but can run dry in some missions. Basic laser rifle is a frustrating case of "Can do shockingly well killing Michigan when they keep evading your bazooka." but also just weak enough it can't one shot kill basic MT even with the entry level EN weapon specialist generators. 100 EN, not quite dead. 116 EN, not quite dead. still legit as a double tap is faster kills than most guns though.

body build to your tastes. You can get some shockingly good results with the 'top basic speed, bad at quick boosting' thrusters though. 300-350 speed even on a medium rambo build is wild when I see people bragging about their "lightweight legs build can hit 330!" builds

dual VP-60LCS on shoulders, dual VE-66LRB in the hands will literally flatten anything easily, could also use the hand stun guns for a lighter weight build.

I always wanted to run a max disrepect build for fun. Based on a couple arenas, this is it. Just scoot around, outrunning everything and spamming missiles. Nothing can dodge the constant barrage of missile spam. Ammo for days too.

You can pretty much play with your eyes closed as long you stop to look to next objective marker.

Given the constraints, I'd go double Harris, double Huxley, with Alba legs. The Harris's actually have really good stats, in terms of dps, stagger, and ammo efficiency, and are good at most ranges. Their only downside is my fingers hurt after spamming the trigger button for a whole boss fight. The Huxleys help in that they only require occasional pressing, and can pile on dps if their activation is timed with the enemy's stagger.

I have this build saved and pull it out when I feel like a change from the other meta builds, and it's never failed me.

after i unlocked the needle after the worm fight i bought 2 of them for each shoulder, paired with 2 gatling guns, and every piece of armor with the most 'AP. get close, stagger with gatlings and then fire both needles. carried me throught almost 3 playthroughs, youll be really slow though but should be able to tank pretty much every hit:cozybethesda:

I tried a whole energy run build this time.
Probably go full kinetic in NG+.

Weapons would be something like: Xuan Ge Zooka, Laser Lance, with Laser Slicer on Lb and basic 10 missile multi launcher on Rb. Charge Lance -> Zooka = ACS lock down, lb swap to slicer when you shoot with zooka then chain Laser Slicer followed by 10 Missiles. By the time you're done slicing lance and zooka are ready to combo again. Best of all those 10 missiles got the AI scattering to dodge right as they come out from lock down so all you need to do is set yourself up in position for another combo. Don't forget about boost kicking, can take assault armor to make even more deadly lance combos, or pulse shield x2, shield allows you to kinda blunder in headfirst to set up a do or die combo, while assault armor is a more finesse option.

Melander C3 legs, Nacht head, VP 46D Arms, Ephemera Core, Booster G2 PO6SPD, Talbot or Ocellus FCS, and San Tai Gen.

I just did double zimmerman with coral oscillator from level 15 loghunt on shoulder. nothing on right shoulder. Until they tune the game I'd never run anything else. If I wanted the zimmermans to feel weaker I'd just take all points out of the kinetic weapon os tuning.

Well right now I'm running a mostly missile build for my post New Game++ tour; Mind Alpha Core, Legs. Nacht Arms and Meleader Head. I carry dual Split Missiles as handhelds, a Stun Needle and the 10-tube missile launcher. I put it through the whole arena and only had trouble with Cinder Carla and Thumb Dolyman of all people. It also beat Ibis and Balteus so far.

No changes allowed so dual handgun duckett, chainsaw, and kranich/60z. Able to S rank every mission except for escort the weaponized mining ship.
