NG++ Enforcement Squads vs Special Forces Craft mission

I'm on NG++ Ch. 3, trying to make sure I get the 3rd ending. I read a guide that says I have to do the Enforcement Squad mission instead of the Special Forces Craft mission. Thing is, I haven't played the Special Forces Craft mission before. And I have been told that a lot of the guides out there are full of inaccuracies.

So, if I do the mission to destroy the special forces craft, can I still get the true ending on NG++? Also, if that is not the case, is it possible to do a 4th playthrough?

Do whatever you haven't done. That is the path to the final endings.

I did Enforcement Squads, but I honestly have no clue if it matters. Some people claim that you still can get Allmind missions even if you don't choose the missions that unlocked in NG+.

make sure you do MIA and all the arena extras, the rest is optional

MIA isn't really a choice. You automatically get it after the alternate Reach the Coral Convergence mission. For that you already need to be on the Allmind route, for which you need to do all the arenas, I guess.

Yeah I have been told/have read so much conflicting info on this lol. I just don't want to lock myself out of any content.

Hopefully if need be I can at least do a 4th playthrough on this save to hit any missions I do miss.

If you want to be completely sure to get the ending do all the missions that are exclusive to NG+/NG++. Worked for me. All arenas need to be done ASAP to be sure, but the point of no return is probably Coral Convergence because you need to get the alternate version of it to get MIA, which hard-locks you to ending 3.

I followed the wiki for the alea lacta est ending and it recommended the "Eliminate the Enforcement Squad" choice

It finally dawned on me that I could just make a backup of my save file and try it this way. Thank you and everyone else in this thread for the replies.
