Arena Question

After completing all of the Arenas and get the achievement, I noticed there are 3 more restricted boxes. Is there anything in those slots, or is that just there for no reason? After the y-3 arena, to be specific.

NG+ opens up most of the extra arena, and NG++ has the last few which include parts unlocks and a plot point (Which happens anyways if you skip them).

But, make sure to do all of them before you beat the NG++ final boss. I didn't know this because I did all of them. But apparently they take away the last three once you clear NG++ until you are going through another loop, because they have conversations related to late game events I guess.

That said. You will have enough OS chips to complete your entire upgrade menu during the NG+ run.

Those extra 3 slots are part of the story script dialogue for NG++ (the Allmind ending). When you complete the final 3 arena analysis on the third playthrough and finish the game, you will be sent back to chapter 1 and those 3 arena slots become locked again (even if you completed them). To unlock and keep them unlocked, you need a 4'th playthrough, but you can stop after the chapter 2 mission: Infiltrate Grid 086, because they become unlocked again and you can replay them anytime (just don't finish the 4'th playthroug completely because they become locked again and you have to start over and over again).
