Firearm Specialization more important for close or long range?
Do you prioritize Firearm Specialization over defensive stats on close range builds, long range builds, both, or neither?

It just literally means more firearm accuracy, so it depends on how much you like firearm/ranged weapon, rather than close range or long range.

If using a non-missile, non-melee weapon, I use max firearm specialization.

Then again, I prefer very fast ACs so I rarely care about defensive stats.

i would look into stats after i get comfortable with the playstyle...and tweak from there.

AC is like the ultimate robo geek(or nerd?) lab game. try this.. try that combo, does it feel good, does it do enough damage, does it move fast enough, can it take enough damage, is the reload gap too long, ...

does the AC look cool? no? start over. XD

Hmm depending on weapon you have, recoil control might be a lot better at giving you accuracy than firearm spec. ;o

There also recoil, you will see the bullet spread when shooting test AC with AI turned off. But recoil generally can be ignored if you use slow fire rate weapons.
Dunno if it could affect higher fire rate through weapon swapping if you really want more indepth stuffs.
For long range especialization won't matter much unless you time and alternate firing. Think FCS matter more than specialization.

Melee though it affects damage, the melee specialization. So this one is a lot more important. So if you're using melee with very low specialization you are practically wasting a weapon slot or weight/en.
