Lol it doesn't do that for me. That only happened to me once, the first time I encountered a mech with no weapons equipped at all. I just stood there amused and looking at him until he ran up and stun locked me to death with a hail of punches. That was how I learned how fisticuffs work in AC6!
It took me a while to realize you had to press Y/Triangle or something to change it.
In all honesty though, I only name the builds that I overcame a challenging in-game hurdle with.
There's even someone in this thread who clearly believes the only way to rename an AC is to do it in AC DATA. Which is not true. It can be done in ASSEMBLY by simply pressing 'start'. Then when you save the named AC in AC DATA it will have that name forever.
