is there any joy in getting curb stombed dozens of times by every damn boss that comes your way?

i mean i'm liking the mech and such but my god why did it have to feel like i'm playing a damn soulslike...

i'm gonna have to just quit playing this game just to get rid of my frustrations...

this just aint a good game for me.

What got me through most of the bosses after C Spider was Biped missile spam build. Just stay as far away as possible and fire missiles. But you need to think of what you need to do in order to defeat the bosses, and build for that.

fromsoft games are hard. you should've known that before you bought the game.

Being able to get into enemies' faces and blast them with a shotgun/etc is what I live for. This game rewards me in the best way. Unfortunately I also hate abusing cheese/exploits/etc and don't find it particularly interesting to live with a silver spoon in my mouth.

On one hand, its just a game and it doesn't matter how you play. If someone wants to use the worst possible mech and try to beat the game they can.

On the other hand, its just a game and there's no excuse for bad game balance. Ever. Yes eventually everything devolves into "rock-paper-scissors" but that's too bad. You either balance the game or you don't.

Having read this thread while waiting for the game to download and wanting to try my first AC game. All I can say is it looks like Fromsofts fan base is a bunch of elitist pricks. Thanks for dissuading me from playing the game. Now about that refund...

Hello, I am an idiot that can sink with hover legs in the old games.

It is overall a great game with some overtuned boss AI. Even standing at the end clearing NG++ But every franchise fanbase can be miserable, sadly.

Not even children's theme park games are safe from it. I can't even file a bug report on a ferris wheel without people acting like their hardcore gamer cred is on the line to defend every last aspect of a game.

Please, please don't people alternating between "only pure skill can possibly beat a tutorial!" and "Oh people beat X? doesn't count! Meme build MEEEEEME BUUUUILD" keep you away from the cool robots.

If thats a reason for you to refund the game. Then you should never play such masterpiece in the first place.

Fromsoft has still an intact Fanbase which loves Fromsoft and they games. Everybody who talks ♥♥♥♥ about the game still loves it and wants the best for it. Thats why they put they opinion to improve further Fromsoft games. If u cant handle it then Fortnite and Cod is still waiting for you. There u will not find such Fanbase, at all! Cod has not even a Fanbase anymore LOL wonder why.

This is not a souls-like. Truthfully there are very few design similarities beyond hard boss fights. One of the biggest differences is that you CAN'T perfect dodge in this game, there are no invincibility frames like dark souls, you have to actually avoid the attack completely. This game rewards smart decision making and controlling your range. I think a lot of people are struggling because they think it's Dark Souls. Also Armored Core never had a difficulty setting and it never should

Different strokes for different folks. I like challenging games, OP apparently likes casual games. Personally I wish AC6 was more difficult, Balteus took me... 5 attempts I think to put down? Every other boss fight after that was 3 attempts or less, a decent chunk of which only took 1 try

But why? the game isn't really that difficult.
It's a single player game aside from some arena stuff so what other people say elitist or otherwise shouldn't affect you in the slightest as you will only come across those people in arena and no where else.

What you are seeing in the threads is people finding it amusing because so many are struggling, they see a feature like hard lock early on and stick to it without realising it's downfalls, they see a build that someone else used to cheese a fight and think they need to do the same to win but don't pay attention to the core of the game to create your own build that suits you and how you want to play.

Are there challenges? Sure and that's a good thing.
