Hardest mission to S rank ?

Including all ng+ and ++ missions.

I'm torn between "protect the strider" and the final boss of ng++.

I think the most annoying one i'm having trouble with is Ice Worm just because I cant miss any shots and i have to get his shield down super early to count it as S Rank - Protect the Strider and Allmind we're really fast S Rank for me

the hardest ones for me are both the one where you need to destroy a bunch of heli filled with corail you need to camp at the border of the map wwhere they spawn and shoot them or else you only get an A.
and betray carla getting ganged by both isnt fun.

protect the strider is a cake walk with the right missile set up, but otherwise it feels impossible. i also s ranked allmind iguazu the same way.

hardest for me was investigate baws arsenal no. 2. you just have to be so fast, and there's little room for error in the final fight where those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ snipers jump away to the other side of the arena. it only took me a few tries, maybe 5 tops, but that was more than any other s rank.

not really i did it with a build made to assault boost and fly high you just need weapons with good range, zimmerman's won't cut it for this one.

basically just switched to double plasma rifles and double plasma missiles but it was the most stressful mission for me to S-rank. It wasn't fun to redo at all

For me, it's "Attack the Old Spaceport", as the S-rank requirements are extremely stingy. You NEED to destroy all optional fuel tanks, then kill about 30k worth of enemies and environmental objects, and finally speedrun the entire mission in around 4-5 minutes to get the S-rank. Pile Bunker and weapons that stagger quicky really helps in erasing the LCs and special forces at the end of the mission.

Also I feel like the boss missions, aka The Coral Convergence (both normal and alt) and the SEASPIDER have a VERY generous margin for expenses and the mission primarily uses time to gauge if you can get the S-rank.

when you assault boost or just follow your allies, the 1st and 2nd time it pops just after when the mission starts is always the same.

after that you really just need to watch your radar if you can call it that and just stay near it while watching what it's orientation was before it burrowed and running away from it when you hear the prompt.

ikr, Chatty just on top firing all those rockets doesn't help either. Although I found out that Carla's build has a particularity long stagger recovery time, which makes her the perfect Pile Bunker + Staggered punching bag. Managed to speed-kill her with the 7 seconds mark and completely broke the voice line logic with chatty still responding to Carla's orders

Attack the Refueling station. No clue why but S rank requirements on that mission are very tight both in timer and amount of damage you can take. Definitely not what I was expecting in my S rank journey lol.

Bro, I JUST got S rank on that after struggling for hours. Been killing everybody + the fuel tanks for 600k but only A rank for hours. Finally decide to go the other way and skipped every enemy on the level to get to the boss and killed them as fast as possible. Only 300k (coral waifu even comments on how little you're getting) but S rank. That's just dumb. Guess only thing that matters is speed.

For the refueling mission I only had to kill one optional enemy early on and then I rushed for the objectives. As for which one was the hardest I am gonna need to think for a while.

My quick answer would be investigate grid 086 was the hardest, Now that I've done it I realize a couple things I did that weren't as efficient, so it would be much easier now.

Prior to getting the game I figured there was no way I would get all missions s ranked. After NG++ I figured the missions I struggled with the most would be extremely difficult to s rank but as I started to s rank those missions I became more optimistic of my odds. Low and behold I did it, I got them all.
