Some of the later game large laser rifles literally fire a big ass beam on full charge.
...here I've been attempting to recreate a more modern Oracle from Armored Core: Nexus. They gave us the same core design and everything, even some legs which mirror the same look as Oracle's. It's just the Moonlight and Karasawa that have changed. A lot. Which they tend to do throughout the games.
also need to tinker with weight savings, the Songbirds fit but it's not a perfect replacement for the old shoulder-mounted linear cannon. The Spread Bazooka looks a closer fit, it's just stonkingly heavier...
Eh. At best that's a buster rifle, but it's probably a better fit for one of Tallgeese's early guns.
I haven't gotten to those yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I've also seen a melee weapon that does a nice impression of a buster sweep.
