Trueno is a hidden gem
the needle missile (not to be confused with the infamous stun needle launcher) fly fast, have good tracker after missile locked, good stagger, good direct hit damage, can be used to punish melee charge against you or opponent that just turn around running away with AB
not op because you can dodge it with well timed QB (unless you are very slow)

But so few people are using it, almost feels like people don't know there's a third ending in ng++ and thus did not get it

4.2s and use better missile lock FCS cut that down, in the mean time you can shoot your other weapon

unless you are some kind of absolute no lock assist guy locking for 4 seconds is very easy

Interesting, yeah I avoid lock on assist entirely since it doesn't work for keyboard and mouse. I didn't know FCS can cut down missile lock time though I thought it just made them more effective. That's cool.
It's basically a smaller, but homing stun needle. The homing isn't too impressive, but enough to make dodging it hard for slower things, at least fully if you fire both shoulders for a total of four needles. It's also pretty light.

The only thing I'm not entire sold on is the lock on time (even with a missile FCS) and the firing animation, which is very unusual for something that is technically a missile launcher.

I find them as a nice off brand for Songbirds.

Same here, I wait for the reload and then bait a dodge with a shot from my gun then hit em' with the Trueno's

The coral launcher from ng++ destroys this in dmg and is easier to hit only downside is its heavy and cost a ton of energy but its imo the best missile launcher in the game

Depends on the range. It's not very accurate at longer ranges, but the lock completely negates that.
Honestly i've been loving them so much. They have all the advantages of stun needles but aren't scummy due to being actually balanced so won't have people kicking/leaving on you

I run a trash missile FCS and can't be bothered to wait for it to lock-on. I also play up close. I like that if you want to use it mid range with a decent missile FCS you can or you can blitz with it.

As far as I've tried it I fish for hits and stagger gain from range with it, then go in close to actually trigger the stagger with laser pistols (haven't tried other things with it yet). At close the lock doesn't matter and it's basically free 4k damage to a staggered target.
