Actually think I like this more than any Dark Souls (and I love dks) It's just that this setting is so more favorable to me over fantasy or even dark fantasy.
Those are fans of mecha anime and they always have been there. Meanwhile mainstream audiences don't care about mecha.
You should give The Surge games a try.
This is definitely my hope. I don't care if they're cheap knock-offs, I NEED more mecha games.
I remember the crossover they made for Daemon X Machina, Japan had a dope crossover with Code Geass (Lancelot mech, not Guren but eh...) while we had a FREAKING THE WITCHER CROSSOVER.
Witcher crossover ?! in a mecha games ? are you kidding me ?!
Another reason it's unfortunate that these days everyone and their mother is trying to appeal to the West.
And SRPGs. Even putting aside mecha, SRW is easily one of if not the best SRPG franchise period.
They also don't care about video games, so that seems like a moot point to be frank.
Nioh and Nioh 2 are absolute bangers
