White Screen CRASH on launch > Not Responding > Closes

I open the game and my cursor changes to the game version, white screen, I click around and my cursor begins loading then not responding and the game closes without a word.

Intel Core i7 8700K @ 3.70GHz

Disabled GSync
Reinstalled the game multiple times/Verified/Restarted Steam, PC, Ran EAC in Admin mode, and Compatibility mode for Win7/8
Closed all overlays/programs/other windows, Steam overlay, Discord overlay, Nvidia Geforce, updated all my "drivers" for my gpu(this has never solved any issue I've ever had but did it anyway!)

People keep saying its an "Older GPU" Issue but surely I have enough to run this? I also have DX12. I'm being told to open Github and mess in System32 and risk my PC to "fix" an issue for a £60 game..... ridiculous

Everyone having white screen issues, a few things you should try.

Make sure your GPU drivers are up to date, get the latest drivers. For Nvidia do this via GeForce Experience or the Nvidia website. AMD you can do through the adrenaline panel or the website.

Latest drivers for Nvidia are 537.13 and for AMD they are 23.8.1

Run DXDiag and verify DirectX12 is present

UPDATE WINDOWS. If you never update your PC then that's going to do it because directX is often updated with Windows (also don't turn windows update off please god)

Have you tried not clicking during the white screen on startup?
For me Fromsoft games are notorious for the white screen clicking issue. The thing that fixes it for me is just not clicking. Let the screen stay white for a few second then it loads up fine. If I do anything while the screen is white the game will crash. This has been across three different builds of pc's and I just don't understand why. Your issue may be different but I've had this issue in any of their games since DS2.

Already have latest NVIDIA drivers, etc., and so far the only thing that bypasses this white screen error for me is the Elden Ring method. Waiting for official patch from Bamco seems to be the only way to get pass this and play online (and fix the Balteus midfight crash as well)

Latest drivers are 537.13. Verify you have those. I've seen a few people say they had the latest drivers but they were just going off what GeForce Experience said and GeForce Experience said they had the latest because their version of windows 10 was from like, 2017 so any newer drivers didn't support that windows version

Yeah, 537.13, release date 22nd August 2023. That is the latest for my gaming laptop.

Yeah im running a AMD 6900 XT and im getting the same issues, I can get to title card and hit continue. It just hangs on the like 5% loading then driver crash

Kinda same thing for me. The game will crash at 5% after hitting continue. After the crash my computer will become less and less responsive in a matter of like 2 minutes, then it will freeze, then black screen, the screen will reboot and now it's smooth again. Maybe it's crashing the GPU driver with a delay.

What's odd is that I had a 2 hours play session yesterday and the game didn't encounter any issue. Maybe it's trying to do something when hitting continue that it's not doing when starting a new campaign. Or maybe the save is corrupted (would not explain the GPU driver crashing though).

Updated Windows with Update Assistant & Its running now for the first time

My main desktop started doing it now. It'll sit at white screen for multiple minutes then finally launch. Last weekend it was fine, on my other pc it's still fine (the one been playing on in evenings). Pretty annoying.

Edit: also, controller doesn't seem to work unless it's turned on before game launch...
