tanks being able to chain laser cannon shots is really zesty when the enemy loves input read evading the first shot, and half the time they will walk into the second. Decent direct hit values too so if your heat isn't too high you can follow up with MORE LASER unlike your greandes being on cooldown after a stagger.
Remember to use arms with at least 100 recoil rating AND non ♥♥♥♥ gunplay. less than 90 melee stat isn't an issue when you are not using melee weapons.
I was quad legs, but I had Songbird, plasma missiles, bazooka, and the gatling gun. I did have Pulse Shield as my expansion, popped it and point blanked him. I think what happened since my screen was pretty much filled with explosions is between Songbird and my Bazooka, I was able to stagger him often enough to keep him from meleeing, thus I was able to eventually take him down.
I've had some success with 4 grenade launchers, but it sure isn't easy in this game.
I did the opposite. Same as Swinburne. Flying kick to the face followed by twin shotguns. Repeat and don't let him use a repair kit.
