So... do this game has "tech" tricks already?
Originally I felt in love with Armored Core games because I was a Quake player and stuff like learning strafejump/rocketboost/plasmaclimb was "my jam", and Armored Core series provided you with similar - to get better at game, you had to learn certain tricks and tips to master your movements. In ps2 era AC you had stuff like bunnyhop, momentum stalling, overboost sliding, micro boosting (prevents hard landing penalty). In ps3 era AC you had quickboost chaining in 4/fa or walljumping in 5/vd.

So, anything like that already "discovered" here? If yes, please share the knowledge and post it!

I've messed around pretty hard with various things in this game but it feels very 'locked down' and modern compared to janky PS2/PS3 era titles. It's obviously been through some decent QA.

The problem with 'tech' like that in modern games, is that if its an actual glitch or unintended it can be hotfixed with a 4kb patch, and not stay in the game forever how used to be the case with physical media / no internet releases.

Anyways I'm curious also.

Yeah, many of those "techs" in such games often appeared as "glitches" that were kept. "Animation cancel" in Devil May Cry, even "combo" was originally a bug in Street Fighter.

Also... never forget GunZ!

I definitely hate when old games get remade or remastered, and the new dev mindlessly patches the old tech. Then they expect to be praised even though they made the game more shallow in the process.

Like patching out the weapon swap escape didn't make the game better in DS1, it just makes the PvP less deep and less skill based.

No they dumbed everything down to nothingness.

Yes, because having a huge arsenal/parts was sooooo gooooood when only half of it was viable, radars were useless fillers, heat system made heavy mechs unusable and hover legs were a meme.

Oh and lets not forget the janky controls, the beyond garbage platforming and the economy system that made new players softlock their savegames in the Smeltery level should they not have money to assemble a light/medium mech.
Let's also go back to light chicken legs Sword/Flamer/Dual Cannons setup being the "I win" setup for PvE and PvP for 6 games in a row.

Oh, and the fact the series was so inacessible it went on a 11 years hiatus. Truly, let's all go back to those older titles.

The only thing AC6 is missing are shoulder extensions to make loadouts a bit more diverse. Everything else is a straight up upgrade.

Looks cool, can you please elaborate?

There are a bunch of tech tricks

The easiest is that most legs spamming assault kick is a more energy efficient way to fly, so you can use for example on quad base to get high up for low energy and open the base to manual aim charge plasma at 1000 meters away or missile boat

I have a lot of other tricks but they make the PvP environment toxic as hell so I would rather not spread them, makes it very unfun to play and play against.
