first person combat was a cheat code in the first armored core, and showed up briefly as an option in one of the third generation titles. It didn't stay in the game for a reason.

To be honest, if you know the lore and tech of the AC universe, even cockpit view probably has you seeing through your entire AC as if you were floating anyways through different sensory cameras or other various tech that exist. Cockpits were never an option D:
