Idk man did you play Last Raven on PSP and fight Zinaida? That fight took me longer than any of the ones here. I never did any of 4 but all of 3's was easy (except LR), 5 was kinda difficult at times but it was also just really odd compared to the other games.
Nah, to be fair I did them all on PC recently so that could definitely have changed the difficulty for me!
That might do it, assuming the emulator or whatever is the PS2 version of LR. I did look into this on my quest to beat her and they literally just made her fly constantly in her ending mission on PSP. Not to mention infinite ammo/energy. But that was also like 10 years ago for me, so it could be easier now for all I know.

Crazy cuz that was the best boss in the entire game. It was fun! You just have to learn the fight, now in my attempts to S Rank it I clear it first try everytime. If it was that unfair this wouldn't be possible lol
It's not unfair, it's just bs. Any fun melee build gets moped because the moment you get inside an effective range of a shotgun boss starts dashing at least thrice as much as he does otherwise. I also hate how it can just decide to spam the sword attack out of nowhere stunlocking you to death. Having an enemy that runs away while throwing random bs at you isn't fun, no one likes Mikolash in Bloodborne for similar reason.

But a lot of people like Cel-240. I will concede it's clearly a controversial boss because a lot of people don't like it either. But I'd prefer if people kept it to honest things like that. For example my first time beating it I was using a melee build, that was the only way I could figure out how to do enough damage until I got better at the game lol. Anywho, I respect that not everyone enjoys it! For me though, super fun boss and definitely the highlight of the game.

It may be harder if you really got the muscle memory down for their more typical melee-oriented games. This one has a third dimension to its combat and requires you to be constantly adjusting your aim to do well, and plays very differently.

As someone who has played and greatly enjoyed every FromSoftware game since Dark Souls 1, and hasn't ever beaten an Armored Core game before this (though I know of them decently well), I would say this game is just as difficult as their other games.

It's not too difficult against regular enemies, but the bosses are very difficult under normal circumstances. Although you can arguably make the game much easier on yourself than in most FromSoftware games by changing up your build - this isn't like in Sekiro where you are forced to "Git Gud," you can look up a build and beat most stages or bosses easily.

It's harder than playing Elden Ring or such if you just summoned other players or used overpowered summons to fight for you, but easier otherwise. I personally find it to be suitably difficult, with harder bosses taking an hour or two of attempts unless I change my build massively (in which case they can be defeated in 2-5 attempts at most).

In Summary: based on their games since Demon's Souls, Armored Core 6 is par for the course. It is neither harder or easier than their other games on average, but if you change your mech build reliably it becomes a bit easier than their other games.

Way easyer than Cores 3-5 + dat era spinoffs. Little harder than soul-borns runs ng1-3. More or less as DS2 ng6-9.

Most real problems came from few poorely desighn bosses and unability to use heal under enemy atacks.
Most problems for people first time playing mecha - there is too much numbers that are not clear what to mean, too many guns and parts and thus they end in 20 hours boss try hard session, instead of 5 min run with "oh, dat bich from Daemon x Machina now here? Ok, where are my quads, light armor and flamer?" ideology.

Its harder than most of elden ring (if you do most if not all bosses in elden ring). One of the hardest games ive played and I played everything on the hardest setting with mods to make games much harder.
Kingdom come deliverance is much harder on hardcore with all debuffs on and mods to make everything like 100% harder. And prolly some other soulsborne games are harder. But its up there in how hard it is.

Inconsistent is the best way to put it. Sometimes easy, sometimes reasonable and fair, sometimes outright ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I see many people use Dark Souls as a comparison for this game but all the real AC fans know that this is NOT Dark Souls or Demon Souls or Seikio or Blood Borne or Kings Field or for Pete's sake Elden Ring! This game is Armored Core, it is a game where we build our mechs with plethora of parts and are able to customize and equipt (looking at Left hand only melee weapons) them how ever we please to complete our missions.

This game is not hard. Idk what people are talking about. Especially with the comparisons to the earlier games and Souls / Ring series. I don't think people remember fighting Fume Knight for the first time or Slave Knight Gael / Sister Friede etc. Elden Ring is w.e because most people just over level everything and by the time they get to the hard content they already have an op build or crutched hard on Mimic / Blood

Then you have Nioh 1 and Nioh 2 for those that have played them. Those are quite difficult.

I'd make the closest comparison with Sekiro, it's definitely a lot more difficult than the Souls series or Elden Ring. It also has the issue that the difficulty, when encountered, is more prohibitive. In a Souls-like you can give up on that boss for the time being, maybe do a different area first, maybe grind some levels/gear to help you proceed. This is a linear mission-based game, until you beat that boss you're not going any further and there is no way to alleviate that difficulty in any way.

This is the most accurate response imo, it's Sekiro level, and linear.

I have literally rebooted elden ring, dark souls 1-3, and dragged out my x360 and played AC4 and 4answer since I got so upset at AC6.

It's harder than all of them, it really is more like Sekiro.
Acey Aug 27, 2023 @ 6:48pm
It genuinely is not. I found those games having far more consistent challenge and brick walls than AC6 ever gave me ( The worst was Balteus and my 30 attempts to beat him ) Everything I fought was sub 10 attempts even Ibis. I can think of numerous bosses in the games I mentioned that ( largely the souls / nioh games ) that gave me far more trouble throughout the entire game instead of effectively 2 bosses that newer players encounter in this game.

Easiest From game I've played in quite some time, I'm only on Chapter 3, tho, so maybe it's going to get a lot harder, but I doubt it.

Not that much difference imo. Only brick wall is if you bring a Souls or Sekiro mentality to this game, because there are no i-frames on quickboost and no free lifebar wipe on ACS stagger.

Final bosses of chapter 4 and 5 (latter depends on the ending) will ♥♥♥♥ you up.

That echos my thought, you put very well.
