but lets be honest they are just salty because ac never took off as souls games this is way they need "i knew FROM before souls games" memes
sad when you think about it
why ? do you think it effected game design ?
Difficulty spikes is what makes the game feel dangerous and that's what I like about it. It's not just melancholic, it's threatning.
And yeah customization is good. It really works for me because how unlocking works. I completed the game without exploring too much, but apparently there are collectables and ng++ content, so I'm more than satisfied.
My only complaint so far is the lack of multiplayer options. I apreciate 3vs3, but I really need PvE multiplayer in this game. A dlc with a multiplayer Boss Rush mode I would buy without thinking. If I remember corectly AC5 also had a cool multiplayer where one player is a sguad coordinator. I just wish there are more ways to play with muh buddies. Unlocking parts in MP would also be great.
I see you have an opinion. Might be a shame is someone mistook it for objective reality.
Interesting maybe when it would be actually more interesting because as of now its pretty meh for me, sure its fun enough to finish the game but it lacks something and swapping/build mech parts isn't doing it for me
I think thats part of the gameplay design, ofcourse I've seen players just use default mech or make meme builds or just try to stick with their 1 ultimate all arounder mech and brute force it. It does work sometimes with a bit of luck of said player hasn't rage quit yet.
I currently have 7 mechs built each tailored to a different mission as well as just enjoying trying to make a bunch of zeon and earth federation themed AC's (gundam fanboy)
The game has its weaknesses, of course. But as a mech fan that grew up with Armored Core, I'm enjoying every second of it.
I thought it was the other way around?
dark souls was kind a a niche game and basically created a cult
then the elden ring launch basically cemented souls like gaming and a huge fandom
mechs atleast in the 90s and early 2000s was niche but also was more relevant as other mech games were available
I feel like mech games kinda "died" or at least vanish for like a decade mainstream wise
