After Testing Coral Gear (Spoilers) Heres What I Think.
Cool on paper, and cool on visuals, but 100% not practical at all (Except for the shield if your into that). And note that Im talking about the majority of content, like ACs and MTs HCs not BIG ASS bosses, because they can actually get hit from these weapons.

Elden stars: I mean "Coral Missile Launcher" While charging, causes your EN gauge to be basically, almost, nonexistant. If you want to use the charged shot while trying to dodge, good luck. unlike its Elden Ring Variant, it has great tracking but horrible dmg. AC6s Coral Stars has great damage but horrendous tracking, so your not going to see it hit anything any time soon. And the fact that it causes EN recharge to go 1 block every 2 years, its hard to use in fast paced combat.

Coral Rifle: Cant 1 shot a basic MT with its 1st attack, MTs are left at 1HP (Lah-Mow) So thats 1 big problem. Your average plasma rifle but red, the practical use of the 2nd charge isnt recommended because it takes 7 ammo more dmg and comes out faster but it costs 7 ammo and you only have 180 (Boss only missions are fine). The 3rd charge (Literally comet azure) can be fun to use at first but the dmg is on the low side, not because it doesnt DO damage but the intervals of the damage are about 1 second apart which makes you lose on damage (If you hadnt notice already that EVERYTHING MOVES FAST ASF).

The Coral shield: Well if you like shield then its the best out of them so no complaints ig?

Moon Light Greatsword But RED: Its really good on melee builds, like its counterpart (WHY CANT WE DUAL WIELD MELEE FROMSOFT?), but its charge attack has lower damage than the normal version, and the coral ver. has a better 2 hit combo (I guess their trying to promote both at the same time? I use both 2 hit and charged, but it would be BETTER IF I COULD USE BOTH AT THE SAME DAMN TIME!). I would still use this one over the other because the charge attack is more situational and you'll be spamming the 2 hit combo more often.

Nebula But RED: Its just more dmg but besides the dmg all the other stats are lower by a bit.

BIG RED ASS SWORD: So I am very mixed, it has the longest range on its charged attack, has pretty good damage, its normal attack is a 1 hit vertical slash so thats pretty basic, however its. . . OK? Just some pet peeves I guess?
1.The sweeping attack is almost guaranteed to hit what ever you are trying to hit, but in that time your just a stationary target.
2. The basic attack exists? I forgot about it. The non charged attack brings nothing to the table, its just there incase.
3. ML-Red I think is overall better.
The reason I'm complaining is because you have to grab ALL combat logs for this weapon.

Edit: I beat the game using only the HAL so Rifle, Osci, Coral Stars, and Shield. By far the most difficult thing I ever had to do in this game was to make the HAL work. Coral Gen is lack luster (Yes yes it has the most balancing EN/weight/ other sub stat ratios, but over all in the majority of the game its just bad.) everything I complained about the rifle is true, however I did get some charged shots in which "felt" nice. But like I said, the interval of dps on the beam is TRASH. Missile launcher was actually surprising, you really have to plan out how the enemy moves and where their going BEFORE you fire it. Ocsi was my main dmg dealing weapon, but again my complaints still stand. The shield negates like 90% dmg in a 360 degree bubble, which was actually really useful.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: To have fun while playing this build in PvE is in the middle, Its not bad but its not good either. The struggle on the final boss, beating the final boss with this build (G5 Iguana All Mind Hybrid mofo) Was almost impossible for me, took me 4 hours.

Which chest drop red sword?

Eh, they are like the end game bosses weapons in Souls games exist.
Most of the times the starter weapons end up better.

Yeah they do kind of feel like they're a bit too gimmicky imo, aside from the Coral Moonlight which is just kind of a semi-upgrade to the standard Moonlight.

But I love the concept of a Coral Buster Rifle, too bad the charge shot is basically only good for shooting things that basically can't move...

True, though that might involve you having nobody focused on you because it renders you immobile for a fairly long time.

I haven't tested if it has any falloff range or if it works through walls though, that could be a niche depending on the map.

...But man the missile is just painfully slow and awful at target tracking, it's a big explosion but I'm pretty sure most other missile weapons are better overall.

coral oscillator uncharged is the best melee animation in the entire game. I never use it charged.

Which one? The Moonlight or the Laser Blade?

Because I agree on the Laser Blade one, though it looks a little odd in slow motion.

the laser blade. moonlight is an anime pandering weapon. coral oscillator when you ignore the charged attack is just the cleanest most precise melee attack in game. for me it is like the game's saving grace for melee. i hope nothing about it ever changes. super fast lunge with a precise vertical slash that hits targets even if they are above or beneath you by a margin.

I'm still a bit more partial to the Pulse Blade myself, but the Coral Blade is a close second to me (I like how the Pulse Blade's charge attack is pretty fast).

You need to defeat delta 3 analysis in the arena in NG++ (it's the final enemy).
In chests you find the shield and the coral missile launcher (in Regain control of the Xylem mission)

I tried making a build with dual coral rifles on rev joint legs, just to have some fun with the weapon. But...that forced me to use tian liang arms (all others can't hold 2x 9k weight weapons) and ditch shoulder weapons, I ended up using 2 two-burst pistols as side weapons. Funny to use (build up some stagger, when they're almost there, switch to a pistol and start charging the rifle and then, when they flinch...fire!).
But yeah, im reality, it's quite impractical, definitely not advised vs Ibis, Ayre or anything that 0-1000 in half a sec. (or if you want to S rank, firing those things is expensive AF).
I just wish they made the energy based melee weapons have their blade colors determined by your generator color. I don't want to be running around with coral thrusters and coral assault armor explosion only to turn around and use basic ♥♥♥♥♥ energy when I use my pulse blade. Either that or make the coral laser blade not just objectively worse than pulse blade, laser blade, and laser dagger in terms of general use.

Already beat HAL is it more on ending?
The coral blade is the final Loghunt reward actually.

Yeah I'd rank pulse blade as my second. They are the best melee weapons in game for my preferences. I think the coral one is so tastefully flashy though and it's my favorite slash angle. It's just vertical enough to connect with targets that the pulse blade might miss, but the pulse blade has more horizontal leeway due to its slash angle.

It's amazing how weighty and snappy the input feels on the coral oscillator. It's probably my favorite weapon in the entire game regardless of type. I could do without the charged attack, but it's kinda cool and I don't have to use it.

I find the charge attack for the Coral Blade more of a crowd clearer, but it's also got the utility of being a long delayed attack which messes with the A.I., I've had them actively quickboost into it before.

If he meant IA-C01W7 ML-Redshift Coral Oscillator as the sword (the red version of moonlight) you unlock it in the arena.

IB-C03W2 WLT-101 Coral Oscillator is the loghunt rank 15 reward.
I'm almost done with the 3rd playthrough, I'll get the other blade soon (got all logs so far)
