Cloud Save Overwrote Local Save
For some reason I lost internet connection when I was playing AC6 last night. I synced with the cloud this morning and Steam didn't ask which save to keep, the local or the cloud. I assumed it just uploaded the local since it was newer, but when I started the game, I saw I had lost a bunch of progress that I made since Steam decided to keep the older save. Please don't let me get filtered like this! Seriously, though, is there any way to get my old save back? It would be quite tedious to have to redo what I've already done.

I assume its similar to the behavior in Elden Ring.
I would check out this guide and adjust it for Armored Core 6:

If you dont have a backup of that save or dont use GameSave Manager which can backup your saves on a schedule sadly there is no way.

My heart goes out to you brother, I am in a similar position. I got past Operation Wallclimber on release day, left for dinner, came back and my file reset to the beginning. I haven't been able to save since, I've done the first boss (helicopter) 5 times now.. Don't really see a point playing until I can actually save again.

Same Issue here. After leaving my game open for a couple of days I'm now back at a new game for my CONTINUE option. I'm trying to find a fix or else I'm shelving this for a while.

EDIT: I can confirm it does save progress, so I'll be backing up religiously just in case Steam decides to turn cloud saving back on. Thanks for the solution.

Earlier today I used a program to extract the old save file from my disk, but it was corrupted. I found a method to fix it with a hex editor, but it didn't work since most of the file is just zeroes, it's almost all gone. With the amount of time I spent on trying to recover the file, I probably could've just replayed everything I did. What can I say? I guess I did get filtered.

You mean some undelete tool? Those might only work if the part of the disk didnt get overwritten so best chance is only directly trying this after it happened. So downloading and installing such a tool can already do such damage.

Yeah, I redid most of what I lost. It was pretty annoying, but whatever, it is what it is. I'm manually backing up my saves now.

Hi, everyone. I fixed this error and recovered my save file in this moment. Do the following steps:

1) Make a back up of your saves of following directory:
"C:\Users\[USER_NAME_PC]\AppData\Roaming\ArmoredCore6". Copy the including the directory .
2) Disable the steam syncronization of the AC 6.
3) The backup MUST be on a .zip file, cause some operational systems delete the files wherever it is.
4) On steam, start the verification of the installed game files.
5) After that, probably the save files will be deleted on the directory on step 1. If NOT deleted, do it.
6) Copy your directory backup in .zip and paste to the directory on step 1.
7) Open the game, BE HAPPY!

Sorry my bad english, but i hope so much this tutorial help everyone. SHARE IT! =)

I just started a new game after 100% everything yesterday.
Your progress in this game doesn't matter as much, as your custom builds and emblems.
When you know what to do and how to do it, you can speed run the game really fast.

Yeah, but it's still got to be annoying, and if this happens in an RPG to me, I'm going to be pissed.
