No, older games had the human plus wave blade function, so a lot of blade was shot waves. It is not entirely a wave blade.
And you're already Human+ in AC6, so makes a ton of sense lorewise.
Even if you are a human plus in AC6, in previous games, the blade still functioned as blade when you used the input, it is only when you hit a second input after swinging the blade, did a wave shoot out.
So it doesn't shoot laser boomerangs any more?

It does, but it doesn't have a blade anymore. Primary fire shoots two waves forward. Charged fire spins you around and fires wide range blade.
Don't get me wrong, its a really good weapon and is part of my blade build. But I miss my purple boy.
Agree to disagree. The weapon is good, but Human plus as a separate function was a lot of fun in the previous games. OP-Intensify specifically was a great items since you unlocked abilities by completing specific actions.
