Weapons to beat Escort Strider mission?
Started NG++, this mission is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ me in the ass harder than Balteus.

Some missiles helps a lot. They move so fast projectiles either ricochet or miss because they speed away and move so erratically. This is the only mission where I've ever felt like missiles were "the better option".

option 1: Song Birds - just get in the air first. Be firing down at them, so if the rounds miss, you still hit the ground and they take that splash damage

option 2: Be the tank. Go with stun needles and dual zims or something similar. Square up with them, prepare to take the hit, and just unload with all barrels.

I did it (barely) with two bazookas, two missile launchers of some kind, and quad legs.

Missiles : Kill wheels and slam stagger on walkers with safety.
Melee : Delete staggered walkers instantly.

I did it with dual needle pistols and dual song birds, but if I was setting up just for that mission I'd probably try the lance and missiles/big AoE grenade launchers.

dual flamethrowers. the wheels can handle about three seconds of sustained flamethrower fire, even with shields up. five for the MTs. i used this mission for farming COAM once i figured this out.

I ended up using zimmermans and needles instead of my normal plasma/needles layout
I had to kick and punch the last mech to death with 1ap left (terminal armor)

Your basic missile launchers work wonders, especially if aimed from above. I got the S-Rank using the 10-cell shoulder missiles and the 4-round hand missile launchers. Split missiles don't seem to work all that often, and the Gedlavs-From-Hell just laugh at energy weapons so plasma missiles don't work so hot.

Missiles for explosive damage and accumulative impact (I prefer the hand missile launcher). Harris rifle for charged shots once the wheelchair duo have enough of their stagger bar full. Once they are staggered, use whatever shoulder/swap weapons you prefer for punishing and then repeat the process.

Missile boat, dealing with the pinwheels speed and missiles is better than the stun lock from getting swarmed on the ground.

2x double cluster missiles on your back, or 10-cells if you're not comfortable with cluster lock-on time. Don't use slow missiles.

2x handheld missile launchers (not cluster due to long lock on time) on your arms

FCS with high missile lock-on modifier.

tetrapod legs

generator with high capacity and regen, as well as efficient boosters to stay in the air for a long time. Pulse armor or bubble for extra safety net.

Just hover and shoot at the ACs and wheels. The only threat to you should only be their missiles. You dont need to multilock, just focus on one enemy and dump all your loaded missiles at it.
