Buttons are digital, sticks are not.
There's no delay between 0 and 1 on digital buttons, there is a delay on analog sticks. It's faster to use the WASD when you move around than rolling with the thumbstick.
It's the one game where From Software managed to make Mouse and keyboard GOOD.
No problem with keyboard and mouse
This. If I play on controller, I somewhat have to rely on lock on. On mouse and KB, don't need it. Since you shoot more accurately without using the hard lock, playing on mouse and KB is actually a buff.
well take it or leave it. I am just trying to help with what I learned in 40 years of PC and console gaming.
Not really an issue if you ask me, you make up for that with the camera control of the mouse. And you don't really need all 360 degrees 100% of the time, 8 is more than enough. I do agree it's dependent on the game, because analog controls benefit racing games better, for example.
And in AC6, the keyboard and mouse controls are really good that I'd happily recommend them to people, even if there are people who'd rather use the controller instead and one of my best friends is like that.
So at this point, it's a question of preference. Both are viable, and more games should strive to make more control options viable and more comfortable for as many people as possible.
Also, another thing you can do if you have a DualShock4/DualSense/Switch Pro: use the gyro for aiming and flick stick on the right thumbstick for quick turns around the place. It's really good if you need to aim manually anywhere.
