I was finally able to fix it by disabling auto-hdr in windows then rebooting my PC

HDR worked in game after that

Worked out of the box for me. Aut-hdr enabled and everything, game looks vivid and great. Toggled it off to make sure and everything. I did update my nvidia drivers before launching it though.

It only worked for me once I disabled auto-hdr in windows

Just install newest driver or reinstall current and disable auto hdr for this game and change max brightness in game settings to the same your monitor. HDR should now works perfectly. If it will be again washed out just reinstall your driver.

I will wait until fix comes out

AutoHDR doesn't trigger when I run this game for me, so I didn't have to disable it. HDR "just works", which is refreshing after how annoying it is to get working in the likes of Sekiro.

That’s not the point. Auto HDR want triggering, it was messing up the HDR signal

Disabling it fixed the problem

Stand Down

I am pretty sure that is caused by game engine. There is any conflict with driver and monitor firmware with some pc configurations. That why the same problem is with Sekiro, Elden Ring and this game. Sometime after reinstall the gpu driver HDR in this game works perfectly but randomly it goes back glitches and to repair it need to reinstall the drivers again. They should add HDR support for fullscreen borderless, it will fix all the problem with the HDR in this game.

If anyone else is having an issue where your HDR for this game (or Elden Ring/Sekiro) has really faded colours and you don't want to restart PC/update your drivers every time to fix it-- try just rebooting your monitor. The easiest way for me to do it is running restart64.exe from Custom Resolution Utility (CRU).

This has been working for me every time I've tried since realizing I've also done this to fix gsync/freesync when it's being stubborn.
