Seriously, first boss is pathetic.
Are we talking about the helicopter thing? why there's so much whining and bad reviews about this, dodge gunfire sideways, jump on missiles, boost forward and melee, got it first attempt. You guys can't be serious about giving neg reviews because of this...... not even baiting here, you got me worried for nothing...

If I do this it almost cost me half my health.

The helicopter boss fight is really bad design so "pathetic" is teh right word.

People keep ignoring half the kit the tutorial just showed them literally three minutes before the boss fight and then wondering why they cant beat it. The game wants you to prove you learned what it just taught you, if you can't do that you fail.

personally I had to get used to the controls and the game itself.
thought I'll have to ditch the controller for this game but eventually beat him with a M&K and a controller.

just a case of needing to practice and get used to how this game handles camera movement, aiming and timing of the different attacks and doges.

my only gripe with it is the very annoying size of that area. he constantly goes beyond it and using the melee attack is really useful so it's a pain.

the first true boss is Juggernaut. the big helicopter doesn't even qualify as a boss imo.

idk man, i just used the assualt dash (ctrl) to dodge side ways and go forward when he fired, attacked with sword, and than rifle and shoulder weapon as i fell to the ground. didnt have to heal.

It took me 3 tries. first time i didnt attack right away because i thought we were avoiding fighting them and missed the whole you shoudl kill them line, second fight i leanred a lesson on not being in one spot for any amount of time.

its not a hard boss, the game says during the fight how to beat him, use your aerial mobility to dodge the explosives. DO that, use your sword, it builds up stagger stupid fast and burst it hard.

The only real problem with that boss is that the starting Generator is ass for flight purposes which makes actually getting up to the damn thing a bit annoying.

...Really about 90% of the difficulty complaints in the early game to me seem to be due to the stingy selection of parts/weapons available, because honestly it feels like until the start of Chapter 2 that you're insanely limited in options.

I'm struggling with it but that's because I'm trying to adjust to the movement and controls. I wouldn't leave a bad review because of a skill issue. I'm actually quite impressed with it from a port perspective. Ultrawide, 120Hz, HDR, customisable controls... For Fromsoft it's a good effort.

If someone really is having that much trouble and getting mad with the helicopter they might want to just refund genuinely, the actual bosses in the game are going to make them have convulsions.

when its about to launch missiles i literally jump and boost up, a single dash forward with X evades all of them.... then melee while the machine guns dont come to bear, seriously, I'm not messing, why the fuss about this boss?

I mean, offering no scent of a challenge or anything worth using a melee attack on ill-prepares a player for having to face a flying ship that necessitates melee attacks. While also allowing it to fly out of boundaries that are enforced on the player.

It's not a hard boss, but the introduction to it leaves a lot to be desired.

the only two bad things:

1. Eat all the minigun fire trying to melee, only melee after missiles
2. Eating all missiles trying to just sliding sideways...

I just genuinely dont get it why people can't get past this boss... I'm gonna suffer later on im sure but this one.... geez.

I thought it was a good way to learn the mechanics. Took me a number of tries, but when I finally beat it I absolutely smashed it. I managed to actually land on it somehow and get off like 3 melees in a row before I fell off lol. That was super satisfying after many failed attempts. Then I just stayed underneath and behind it.

It is super annoying when it just constantly flies away from you and goes outside the boundaries, though. As long as you can land melees consistently it goes down pretty quick.
