can you still get achievements playing offline at least?
yes, achievement still worked normally even if you play offline
Probably because you can't buy it on the epic store. Where else would he/she get help? This service is in the game no matter what platform you use. Easy Anti Cheat belongs to Epic Games.
Exactly. I'm running into an issue on the (only) platform this game is available to me, so of course I'm asking here.

Honestly the best thing you can try is to just restart the game or maybe kill the Easy Anti Cheat and any related Services in the task manager and try again.
I wasn't aware the service linked to "Epic" vs it's own servers.
if you continue having issues though you may check if Epic has a EAC support forum. If memory serves too Sometimes having multiple builds of EAC installed (for different games) occasionally causes hiccups.
I didn't care for people using Steam for Epic store "tech support" way back and still don't. hence the reaction i gave. Apologies.
The easiest solution is to set the game to launch in offline mode but I wanna access the pvp and online features eventually.
According to some random steam discussion threads, this is supposedly a server issue now?
I have no idea what is happening because when I first launched the game, everything was fine. All I did between launches was opening the digital artbook / soundtrack app.
