STUTTER FIX = DISABLE EAC / PLAY OFFLINE (Instructions within)
Go to the Steam library location where you installed ARMORED CORE™ VI FIRES OF RUBICON™

\steamapps\common\ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON\Game

Rename "start_protected_game.exe" to something else like "eldenring.bkp"

Rename "armoredcore6.exe" to "start_protected_game.exe"

Run the game through Steam as normal

EDIT: If you're still experiencing stutter and/or low FPS open Task Manager and change the CPU processor affinity to exclude CPU 0

Open Task Manager > Details Tab > Right click start_protected_game.exe > Set Affinity > Uncheck CPU 0 > Click OK

You are a godsend, my friend.

Apparently, CPU below gen 12th have problem with this game. there are another post that point out the problem with CPU affinity

You need to go to task manager, detail, right click on AC6, set affinity, untick CPU 0.

Do so and the stutter gone away.

But this action require turning off EAC, and need to redo every time.

Maybe turning off hyperthreading for intel CPU from another user guide is more helpful but i haven't test this yet.

This + disabling CPU 0 made my game super smooth, 1080ti, i7-7700, running 1080p at 120fps. Was barely playable before. Maximum graphics btw.

After disabling EAC my game went from 40fps to 110fps. But there are still some stutters and drops but it's nowhere near as bad as before. Why is this intrusive garbage allowed in sp games?

I tried this, and also set the in-game launch settings to offline, and every time I try to launch the game, it says it's unable to run, and then re-downloads the files that I just renamed. How do I get it to launch without re-downloading the new files?

Just be aware that disabling the anticheat always has the potential of getting you banned.

Never mind. I know what I did wrong. I renamed "armoredcore6.exe" to "start_protected_game.exe" instead of just "start_protected_game". Gotta drop the".exe"

This massively increased my FPS and got rid of the stutter. Much more so than disabling EAC.

Just so people know... It's Task manager -> right click Armored Core 6 -> Go to details -> right click the application -> Set affinity -> Untick CPU 0

I couldn't find "Set Affinity" for a bit , because I didn't realize you needed to click "Go to details" first.

I would do that but i just get ''Access denied'' error when trying to change things like that.

Doing this and disabling core affinity to core 0 fixed it for me.
Gilmar Aug 25, 2023 @ 6:13am
I did this and disabled core 0 in the affinity settings, and the game went from 30-40fps to 60-70fps, thank you guys

EAC causing performance problems? It's like 2002 all over again. And 2003. And 2004. And 2005. And....

This didn't fix my issue. Game ran smooth as silk last night. Today, no matter what I do, I get unplayable stuttering.

This fixed it for me. It was the core affinity that did it.
