Game keeps rebooting my PC
I've had it crash reboot on launch, and then only a little bit after starting a new game. Running an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X and Radeon RX 6800XT, 32GB of RAM, on Windows 10. Game is installed on an NVMe.

I'm going to be very disappointed and have to refund if there's nothing I can do.

Is it bluescreen crash, or just hard black and restart? If it is the latter, you might be having a more deep system issue than the OS.

Hard crash, no blue screen. Maybe my CPU is overheating, though I don't know why. Did just update display driver, but I'll try again tomorrow.

Hard crash, all other games run fine. Game runs smoothly. Will crash the computer after a random amount of time, like 10 mins or so. I had temps up, all good highest was 75c.

bauldurs gate 3 runs hotter and no crash of desktop, something to do with the game.

Hard computer crash for me. After beating the first boss it will continue to the loading screen and abruptly my PC is restarting once the loading screen is finished. Just verified my files, gonna clear my cache and reinstall, maybe that will help

Install GNU/Linux.

Having a similar issue can run other games just fine but am getting random hard PC crashes

Can report, I cleared my cache and did a fresh reinstall, I also reduced my graphics settings from Maximum to High. I got mine working fine now

If your PC is just shutting down without any kind of bluescreen, that is not a game issue. That's definitely system instability that is being revealed by stressing the hardware.

My first instinct would be; Monitoring Temps and if those look normal at time of shutdown it's 99% of the time a PSU issue.

It doesn't shutdown, i.e. turn off and then self-restart, so be mindful of the words you're using if in an interchangeable manner. This is a hard crash, no blue screen, that causes an immediate reboot. If this is a hardware problem, then it's rather disappointing since I only built this a year ago.

After disabling EAC and turning off the option that allows the game to automatically adjust graphics settings during gameplay, I no longer have an issue. I suspect it is more the latter than simply disabling Easy Anti-Cheat, but sometimes these additional applications can also cause instability issues.

Same here...
First was having major stutter issues, then went down to reddit and steam and as able to solve it though the steamppid_txt.file solution.
But the random Hard Crash keeps on going for no proper reason...

AC6 initial setup recommended specs to high - I've altered to medium so the PC has a "relief", temperature is fine - been able to run heavier games with no problem (Elden Ring on way higher specs)
Not sure what else I can do...

Is it crash then reboot? Or just crash, then black blank screen? If it's the black screen, and your monitor is HDR able, turn on HDR mode in Windows before starting up the game.

For some reason, if you have HDR monitor but tend to stay in SDR, on new installs of AC6, the game defaults to HDR, which causes the monitor to "lock" into a blank screen, until you pull the plug on the monitor.
