OBS does not record, black screen

Trying to record through OBS or AMD Adrenalin but it won't let me. I tried all screen configuration modes but it doesn't work.

It records fine with game capture in full screen for me

I found out what the problem was. OBS option to use Hook Anticheat was disabled

In the Capture Source Properties (Game Capture, Screen Capture or other) you will find an option called "Use Hook...". Just activate this option.

Not sure if it helps, but Steam has a built-in recorder now that works similar to OBS. Just make sure to have the "Record Audio From..." set to "All System Audio" to ensure that the audio is recorded too (the recording software for Steam still has issues). If OBS is having trouble, maybe this could be a workaround.

If Window/Game Capture still doesn't work with hooks, usually Screen Capture is the answer, or vice-versa.
