Controllers thumbstick responsiveness is trash
Im using an Xbox controller and It seems like you have to move right stick a mile for it to register and actually move the camera. Anyone know of any fix for this, other than "use a keyboard an mouse"?

Turn deadzones down in the steam controller profile for the game? I'd be surprised if there's an inherently large deadzone in the engine.

That doesn’t work sadly. I messed with deadzone settings and turned them all the way to 0 to no avail. I even disabled steam input entirely only for my controller to not work at all anymore, even after re-enabling everything. The deadzones honestly are so bad that you have to push the stick about 30% for the game to even register an input.

I personally went M&K during first few deaths of initial boss fight. Something definitely feels off about controller for me too.

That's mind boggling. I run a pad with hall effect sticks and 0% deadzone. Hope this is fixed soon.

The default profile has the controller deadzone set very high. Once I changed its settings, the controller no longer works. No clue what to do from there.

Same issue with my DualSense, deadzones are HUEG, and I know its not my sticks because they are precise enough for me to use them to control my desktop mouse with very little movement.
On the bright side, it detects the DualSense and has playstation button prompts!

Do you guys know if it's like this on all controllers? What are you guys using? I'm using a Xbox one standard controller, but I do have others that I could try.

Using a Razer Wolverine Ultimate over here and no issues with deadzones.

Hm...This issue doesn't exist when you use a controller on Elden Ring.

The game uses Steaminput (with 360 era default xinput deadzones) and the default deadzones are huge since they updated Big Picture. Go to steam settings > controller > calibration and reduce them to the minimum. Then increase anti-deadzone in the games' controller profile to make them even smaller if you want.

Thank you!!! This worked somewhat to fix the deadzone, but it still feels a bit off. I assume it will have to be addressed in a update, unless you guys have any other ideas too.
