Integrity check didn't help. GPU drivers are up-to-date.
The win11 event viewer has critical events: "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."
Edit: I have moved the game folder to another disk and checked integrity again. Now it starts properly!
Edit2: The game reminds me that I forgot to properly exit it (which is correct as I closed it with Alt-F4 after saving it). Maybe this f**ed something up?
1nd: I verified the AC 6 files through steam; NO fix.
2th: I rolled back my graphics driver and restarted my computer. This did NOT fix it.
3st: I ran a Memtest86 from a bootable USB to test my hardware, zero failures, yay.(This takes 4 hours +/-)
4rd: I just decided to try again because insanity, it worked fine. So there you have it. Just try it again but believe in the heart of the cards, Yugi.
Verified files, nothing
SFC scan, nothing
Reinstalled GPU drivers, nothing
Memtest86 4 passes, nothing
I don't feel like going through this loop hoping it works whenever I want to play. Hopefully someone comes up with a solution soon.
Also curious, are your machines pre-built, or custom built?
Windows 11
Ryzen 9 3900X
32GB RAM
EVGA 3080Ti
I'm reinstalling the game as I type this, that's my last option at this point.
Am guessing the issue has to do with the anti cheat thinking that those settings are hacks.
Makes sense. Did you use a parts builder to confirm all the hardware is compatible?
The game does not operate in the kernal, but EAC does. There could be issues when EAC attempts to boot.
I'm sure they're compatible, AC6 is my only issue aside from Windows 11 BS
I'm thinking it may be tied to EAC since I don't have any actual hardware issues that I'm aware of especially after all this testing. I don't even get to see the EAC logo before the BSOD happens.
EDIT: The BSOD that keeps happening is tied to the driver "wdf01000.sys" according to BlueScreenView. When I ran driver verifier though it spat out a BSOD tied to "steamstreamingmicrophone.sys" which I just don't use.
