CPU 0 is getting hammered so hard, ProcessLasso is showing my CPU responsiveness ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the bed bad. The stuttering is horrible. My overall cpu usage is like 30%

It's a bit frustrating they didn't ship with FSR or DLSS. Especially in a game like this. I can understand why they didn't do so with Elden Ring, but it's a bit silly for AC to lack anything that might help push extra frames after they advertised 120fps.

My 3080 is barely 14% used, and lag spikes are huge.

It seems to be hammering the CPU mostly, only about 50% utilization but that's probably because it's maxing out a couple cores and not spreading the load out beyond that. I have a an I7-7700K, the unlocked variant of the exact CPU they have under Recommended hardware (and running at factory specs because I didn't want to delid the thing so it doesn't have the thermal dissipation to spare to actually overclock :D ).

So anyway, another botched FromSoft launch. Between this and the 'immersive' camera shake that I cannot turn off, and the forced launch of Easy Anti-Cheat even when I only want to play offline (and which is definitely contributing to the poor performance), strongly considering refunding.

Some things I noticed:

Extreme stuttering even on the title screen with just the title video in the background.

If I move the mouse, mouse cursor flickers IN TIME with the stuttering.

Can't change from fullscreen to windows or borderless. It just hangs for a little while, and then goes back to fullscreen.

Like, it's nice to know I'm not just crazy and there's others, but I thought they were raving about how well optimised this is? How is it stuttering so bad before you can even get in game??

Absolutely same. i7-7700K, rtx 3050, 16 RAM. SSD. 50% usage, lag spikes. I upped priority to high trough regedit, enabled high energy performace, tweaked nvidia panel, set all settings to off/low, set game to lowest possible resolution and set FPS limit to 30. Still lagging. Minimum system requirements is i7-4790K, so it should work alright just on low settings, but even with all i've done - nothing. Considering refund as well.
