How to download soundtrack?

I like to download the soundtrack and then put it on my pendrive and listen to the music while I drive to work but now the soundtrack is in app.

Is there any way to download the soundtrack? I bought the digital deluxe edition.

The soundtrack is coming in one of those awful apps, but thankfully allows to 'export' the files onto your PC. Just fire up the awkward app thing, go into the digital soundtrack menu and there'll be a prompt at the bottom right to export to a folder of your choice.

Why do companies keep doing this? It has to be more work on their part and its an all around worse experience for the user. Who's benefits from this?

i didn't find it in that app, it just re opened the game

First make sure the DLC is downloaded. If it is, you might have to click the gear icon, go to properties, and set the launch option to ask what you want it to do.

Again, packaging the soundtrack into an app just leads to a worse user experience and I wish they wouldn't do it.

I can only assume the idea behind the garbage app solution is to somehow reduce pirating of the soundtrack, basically making the soundtrack unusable... which is then again completely defied by the option to export the mp3 files. I can not begin to fathom what the point of it is in this case.

Not gonna complain tho. There are games out there that just have an app and don't allow you to access the files at all, so could DEFINITELY be worse.

Is it only in MP3 format? I was expecting lossless encoding....

I cannot get the app to open it just goes to the game, frustrated. From DLC it just does to store page.
