I mean I know it's designed for controller. I just though From would add Flight Stick compatibility cause PC flight sims are a thing.

AC isnt a flight sim though. You could maybe pull it off with something with like two omni throttle but just a straight up flight stick? Thats some real challenge.

I'm just using flight sims as an example. I just want to see some love for other peripherals rather than the standard console controller.

I mean you could absolutely get it to work with either Steam Input or some other custom keybind program (rewasd, etc.), you'd just need to map everything yourself in the program and then adjust accordingly in game. I once set up an old crappy Logitech flight stick with through steam input by registering it as a direct input controller and manually setting up everything and it worked. Personally if you are going to go this route I'd recommend getting the Turtle beach hotas or something else xbox branded since you can get it to auto configure as an xbox controller meaning a higher out of the box compatibility rate.

as long as its not HOTAS you will be fine it is always recommended to use HOSAS
but the setup has to be HOSAS>Hosas to Gamepad interpreter>gamepad to steam
