Anyone worried about the reports of the story being poor?

I remember that the first AC games were on the nose with the story, first game not only you had to read the emails but also pay attention to them and remember previous events.

Even the whole human plus arc is completely missable, heck Last Raven you had to play the game multiple times to get all endings.

I wonder if this one will be the case, reviewers are also known to sometimes never finishing a first playthrough,let alone play multiple times.
