So is it confirmed that there will be no weapon arms?
Finding mixed reports on this and was wondering if someone might have some source.

Would be a bit of a bummer not to have them, since they've been in all but one Armored Core (i believe it was only 5 that didn't have them, with it's stand alone expansion adding them back in)

Yes, I think it's confirmed earlier.

Hidden parts have been mentioned a few times. Maybe what you're looking for just can't be purchased and has to be found during a mission instead.

Personally I haven't heard anything about "Weapon Arms". We'll know soon enough though.

Weapon Arms are a two in one kind of deal. Instead of an arm that holds a seperate weapon it's an arm with an integrated weapon.

Usually lighter, but less armored, than the arm + gun counterpart.

Weapons arms are literally arms that are weapons and don't have hands or fists.
It's confirmed earlier that AC6 will not have them, for now.

But where was it confirmed? I have heard about that multiple times, but couldn't find any official source.

I would say yes, and also no. Arms are able to punch now, so they are all weapon arms now.

I can't wait to try to robo-punch my way through missions.

There is youtube video with guy punching airship to death
Every arm is weapon arm now,.
You can cosplay God Gundam now

Would be nice to get them later down the line in possible DLC, just for the sheer coolness factor doesn't have to be good or not. Bazooka arms were my favorite in AC4 on my tank build.

The biggest reason to opt for weapon arms in the past games was so that you could fire three weapons at once instead of just two. It added extra total firepower in exchange for less adaptability (no mixing and matching weapons, no blades, no hanger weapons, etc).

With the confirmation that all four weapons can be fired simultaneously, weapon arms are pretty much obsolete as a function.

Not really obsolete as these are still lighter

Not by much. It's pretty negligible tbh. I don't imagine the weight saved would make enough of a difference to overcome the fact that you can't stagger your shots, for instance.

But I'm just some guy on the internet. No need to trust me.

Mechanical advantages aside, they just look cool, which honestly is the main reason i want them.

When i played Nexus, i just loved to slap machine gun arms on my reverse jointed mech with grenade launchers on it's shoulders.

Yes, i am a Battletech fan, how can you tell?

I have such mixed feelings.

On the one hand, I still make fun of regular AC4 for skipping weapon arms.

On the other hand, no weapon arms means no "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ enemy AC" using weapon arms that does not care if they die from the reduction in AP or have to worry about the low ammo counts, just that they have a better chance to hurt you in the middle of your mission.
