Idk why I am calling you that lol I'm still doing tank legs always have always will rofl
Him being BTFO by tanks doesn't mean tanks are OP, it could mean he could just suck in that one match.
Forget being a shill. The fastest way to lose credibility is to produce clickbait. "Is It Good?" TF you asking ME for, guy, you're the one with the damn advance copy!
Sincerely, you are massively over-reacting to what amounts to literal text on a thumbnail.
As far as the video itself goes, the PvP looks like it should end up being pretty good. Though I'm probably not likely to play much of the PvP, because the only PvP I have ever been interested in FROMSOFT games is their invasion PvP which is absent here. Invasion PvP as the defender is all I ever had fun with - fighting off invaders while going through their games like Dark Souls 1-3 - which is why I was very disappointed with them disabling solo invasions in Elden Ring and not having covenants or any benefits to doing PvP.
A clickbait thumbnail is something with some guy face doing a soiface and thing like "This game is the greatest/worst thing ever".
If the headline/thumbnail begs the question instead of answering the question, it is considered clickbait. Even giving an opinion is better than begging the question.
Like, seriously, why would the audience be asked "is it good?" How is the audience going to know that? The audience doesn't have an advance copy. The idea is for the content creator to give their take on it.
If they don't know, if they gotta ask me, why should I bother? XD
Usually an interesting video will have a leading headline instead of just spouting (extreme) opinions.
That same tank which when oro was floating directly above, the tank's laser cannons botched the shot so hard the beams went crosseyed.
Another clip I saw was basically "Even me, an idiot, could predict it".gif where tanks were getting roasted by plasma AoE spam because the tanks were still too fat to fly out of the way of spamming splash damage near misses with a light mech.
Looks like they are charging credits for energy ammo again for a reason.
Anyway, I'm sure they make more money than I do off of it. XD
And here's FightinCowboy's perspective. This is the duo chaingun tank chad.
This guy is an actual AC vet, he wrote a guide for ACV in Gamefaqs back then.
Nice that the Bamco/From manage to get these guys, instead of popular gamers who know nothing about AC.
Then again, FightinCowboy also plays Souls, so maybe there's a connection.
Anyway, just like I said in the other topic, hard lock wasn't why oro lost, it was that he couldn't deal with the tank assault boosting at him. Even if fighting cowboy had not used hard lock at all, the result would have been the same. Oro almost never moved far enough to get off the screen if it had been softlock. When he did do that once or twice, it broke hard lock anyway.
And it just makes sense doesn't it? The biped mobile build with rifles is a mid range build. The tank with gatling guns is a close range build. Who ever could force the fight to take place at their ideal range would win and what do you know, assault boost allowed the tank to keep it in the ideal range for it.
This is of course ignoring that the biped build used cheaper parts from earlier in chapter 1 while the tank used some of the most expensive parts.
Oro played a bad built to FightinCowboy, if there was no hard lock, the result would still be the same because Oro plays a close range build against a build that is made to counter close range.
Didn't know it becomes an actual controversy until I read Steam forums.
He said no need to talk about the balance at this point. Their builds were severely limited to chapter one only. No one can predict a dime under that scope. Balance issues can be easily mended by fixes anyway so that's not a big deal.
The real big deal he said is that matchmaking is missing. He tried to put it mildly, but the matchmaking absence can greatly damage the pvp lifespan. Any follow-up patches will not be able to cover up the casualties. It should have been included at the launch.
Or maybe From is actually not that concerned about pvp scene. We will see about that. The guy himself, he looks aright. Just had a bad match, shrug, then it's nothing.
