Probably keyboard so I can use the semi-auto aim instead and keep my mobility.

Armored Core games before this one has always used a semi-auto aim. This was done by a lock box where the size was based on the weapon and FCS used. You would look around and any enemy in this lock box your AC would automatically lock onto and you would fire once you got a true lock. And some weapons and FCS would prioritize based on range as well like a sniper with a long range FCS would prioritize enemies that are far away because it has a better chance to hit those enemies, even if you are trying to aim at the closer enemies. But this game is the first Armored Core to have a full hard lock on. This means less aiming needed from the player than ever before but you still need to use the correct FCS and weapon so you can hit those targets easier.

And there is manual aim weapons in previous games, but those are hard to use and need a lot of practice. But this game does not seem to have weapons that are manual aim exclusive like previous games in the series.

...Definitely a controller because WASD'ing around an AC at high speeds sounds like torture.

As yet undecided, going to start with WASD though I do have a DS4 plugged in if I need it.

Controller, but if the keyboard controls are good I'll use that for precise aiming.

Who knows?
Keyboard might turn out to be the GOAT for this one.

I always start out with KBM. If too many keybindings need to be moved around--which is what happened to me in Elden Ring--then I'll just switch to a controller to keep the vibes flowing. Xbox Duke #1

Since this is a console port, I'll bring out the trusty Xbone controller.

Multiple people in the showcase yesterday/today (depending on timezone) had their own stream and mentioned that K&M controls felt good. One of them (fighting cowboy) mentioned that they would probably do a second play through with only K&M.

I have personally always wished for and AC game with native M&K controls, so I will definitely use that.

3rd person always better with gamepad.

I'll give K+M a try but I imagine controller will feel/work better.

Controller is a default to me. But if KBM provides better precision, that will be no-brainer.
