I really hope so, Lad.
I wish theyd take the time to update their engine after this game as their last few games were missing technical things and effects that've been common since 2010 onwards as well as more recent things like DLSS, XeSS and FSR.
If they could match their technical side's quality with their superb gameplay it'd be incredible. Especially with their excellent art design and style.
Different studios, different priorities, different strokes. ♥
So they can run their game in 4k instead of 1080p, but it's hard to understand when you're sacrificing picture quality along the way. Thought the point of 4k is to have better picture quality. :D
There's another thing I don't understand about DLSS, like, people will dunk on Elden Ring for being jank and from being bad at ports, but they actively encourage developers to use crutches like DLSS that allow them to sidestep optimization.
DLSS has legitimate usages, like extending the life of old hardware and allowing you to run games you shouldn't be able to, but it's fascinating that people actively encourage devs to use crutches like that, they're basically asking to get bamboozled. ;o
devs make unoptimized games, not dlss
