According to VaatiVidya, this WILL be something of a souls-like after all

I believe From will go for that souls-like feeling at least for the "lore" of the setting and how it pertains to the storytelling.
Gameplay-wise ? God I hope not. Give me my big clunky quickboosting mechas or give me death.

I hope they manage to capture the feel of the CGIs for the first time in this AC.

Their tone and style goes further back than souls. Back when they made AC, evergrace, Tench, Chrome Hounds and Eternal Ring. The souls games weren't the beginning of it. Armored Core was fine then. I'm sure it will be fine now. The only reason people say souls-like is because that's when they became popular but their games have always been this way.

Clunky and Quickboosting aren't really something that exists at the same time imo.

Even in V/Verdict Day things were already faster than they were in the boost-hop generation, if we go back to that then I'll be really disappointed.

I thought you could go very fast in Silent Line on certain builds, ha

I more disliked what boost hopping did to my fingers than anything else (especially before Nexus and Last Raven).

...Seriously between that and claw gripping in Monster Hunter I am surprised my hands still work.

Does Vaati get information directly from the developers? Don't get me wrong, he seems cool and all but people allow their expectations to be manipulated way too much by these kinds of "speculative content creators" nowadays.

I'd rather wait for official commentary by those actually involved in the production before jumping to conclusions.

Yeh exactly like. Never expect anything from Leaks etc. unless it's Call of Duty lul.
I love Vaatis lore videos but like just wait for official stuff.

Vaati is full of crap, he doesnt know what he's talking about

Though tbh, in pre-Nexus control scheme, it was tricky to boosthop AND shoot at same time. You could use one finger for both (cross to jump/boost, square to shoot) but you kinda needed to press both buttons in different timing... That is what i remember from default scheme though.

This again...

Without telling explicitly in what way they think it will be a soulslike it's impossible to debate this.

Obviously some systems will be imported. For example, the way Souls games handle multiplay is an obvious import even to a Mario game, but it would not turn it into a Souls game.

AC6 will probably have same complex control schemes and feel of the series. If changes were to be too drastic, they would not number the game and would either drop the 6 or rename it entirely as was the case with Sekiro, which started development as a Tenchu game but was renamed due to too many changes.

Sounds horrible, my favourite game series is ruined, another dissapointment and a betrayed fanbase, atleast they should give us all the old games on pc since this is not going to be armored core afterall.
