Gameplay-wise ? God I hope not. Give me my big clunky quickboosting mechas or give me death.
Even in V/Verdict Day things were already faster than they were in the boost-hop generation, if we go back to that then I'll be really disappointed.
I thought you could go very fast in Silent Line on certain builds, ha
...Seriously between that and claw gripping in Monster Hunter I am surprised my hands still work.
I'd rather wait for official commentary by those actually involved in the production before jumping to conclusions.
I love Vaatis lore videos but like just wait for official stuff.
D'oh, you need to play some GunZ to train your fingers.

Without telling explicitly in what way they think it will be a soulslike it's impossible to debate this.
Obviously some systems will be imported. For example, the way Souls games handle multiplay is an obvious import even to a Mario game, but it would not turn it into a Souls game.
AC6 will probably have same complex control schemes and feel of the series. If changes were to be too drastic, they would not number the game and would either drop the 6 or rename it entirely as was the case with Sekiro, which started development as a Tenchu game but was renamed due to too many changes.
