Open World Scavenger?

If it did go open world, it might even be necessary as a means to replace damaged parts, and refill your ammo. In old Armored Core games, you did not get to repair in mid mission or resupply.

The trailer really does look like they are going open world with it, but also they were working on this before Elden Ring was finished so they wouldnt have known how successful the changes for Elden Ring would be, so it could just be a traditional AC game.

Even if its not open world, I'll love it no matter how ugly of a baby it is though.

Who knows? I'd probably bet that it follows the same formula as the older games and that the trailer cinematic is just that, a cinematic.

Part collecting in missions were always part of the game, but they might make it more of a feature.

thats the feeling i got from the scavenger mech in the trailer that was not built for combat

but i dont see it being a full open world like elden ring , maybe large areas with lots of loading screens

The official intro did mention missions.
A combination of open world and missions would be good.
