can't have hold sprint and dodge separate keys

Its the standard for the genre the game is satirizing (and an actual part of). To dodge while sprinting you let go of the button then press it again and you can even continue the sprint still out of the dodge.

Its a scheme that makes alot more sense on controller than keyboard but games like this are usually designed with a controller first mindset. so minimal buttons mapped and buttons having multiple uses is more the design goal than anything else.

Its fine to not like the control scheme, i've seen hundreds of people say the same thing about souls games in general. No game is for everyone so its fine to have things like this that you don't like in games. Personally i like playing games like this on controller and have come to enjoy how the standard control schemes work, but again i get why there's reason not to like them or like controllers.
