I accidentally skipped Nephro?

I rolled the can away from the soda box and I got to get it without fighting Nephro. I went ahead and defeated the krab mini boss. I can’t seem to get Nephro to respawn…

It’s kinda legendary, but also I’d like to be able to fight him. Is there a way, or did I break the game?

Technically you can make a new save and run to him, beat him then go back to your old save if all you want is the fight

This happened to me too. Originally he spawned, I died to him about 4 times, and on the 5th attempt, I picked up the shell, went exploring in the settings menu considering rebinding controls, and he just didn't spawn after I resumed, so i went to the castle to progress the story. No clue why it happened, and I feel like i was supposed to do that fight... There was even a costume based on him where he would've spawned when I came back later thinking it would fix itself after a minute.

Update, it did fix itself. A couple deaths later, I came back and picked up another can and he just spawned. Still cheesed the fight, but at least he came back.
