I think the only choice you have is probably some kind of merchandise, they are selling a plushie of Kril, but it's sold out already, they are also selling a blanket with the ingame map (it's super expensive though).
Yea don't worry we totally know about the market - we're doing what we can as a small studio but no one has been forgotten!! o7 we're cooking
thankfully, smaller developers aren't locked out of doing physical releases nowadays. steering clear of physical made sense in 2014, but not 2024. there are literally thousands of examples of small indie games with small indie teams getting physical releases on modern consoles.
physical copies cost money, yes. but I will always veer towards physical releases as long as they exist, and even if they cost more money. I prefer to physically own my games, especially now that we are all standing on the graveyard of the Wii, Wii U, 3DS, PSP, Vita, and now Xbox 360 digital stores. so physical = guaranteed money from this dude. digital = I'll wait for a sale or more often now, wait for a physical or potentially $0 from me
Aggro Crab, if you are reading this, count me in for buying a physical copy if it gets done! really glad to see a Soulslike with a more cartoonish and lighthearted vibe
