How do you actually start the boss rush?

I assumed it would be in the main menu with ng+, but do I unlock it at some point during the story?

I'm not sure. It was unlocked for me in NG when I started the game up after the update.

I started a NG+ right away. Wonder if its a certain number of bosses

Yes, you need to have certain bosses defeated on the current save. So you'd have to fight them in NG+ first before you can do the boss rush

beat firth the final boss and then check that's how i got it to unlock if doesn't work then i don't know maybe uninstall and reinstall.

I totally forgot they make you do a separate save file for NG+ lol so you can just load the NG and do it from there, even if you started NG+

Beat Topoda first but good luck with that because he is one of the hardest bosses in the game and in ng+ he of course dosent hit like a truck any more he hits like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bullet train going at mach ♥♥♥♥.

To unlock each boss rush, you just need to defeat them in the NG+, but since each rush has 3 specific bosses, you'll need to defeat the 3 first on NG+ to unlock that Rush. You can find it after beating Topoda Boss and talking to him
