The problem players have with difficulty
I don't understand why people find soulslike games difficult, and I speak as someone who has played 3 souls games at best.... I've read of people who took 15 tries, or even hours to beat the first boss/tutorial... The lobster knight, when we take the first can shell... When in fact it's the easiest thing to do.... Now I also understand why games like lord of the fallen have been drastically lowered in difficulty, because people like souls but want to take it easy and say that they are difficult.

Not everyone understands how to approach souls combat. People will often beat their heads against challenges without changing their approach wondering why it isn't just working immediately like it would in a more casual game. I've seen it happen many times. It takes a little self-auditing, and many people just don't know how to do that unfortunately.

Of course, some people just don't like the combat loop of souls games. That's fine, not everyone has to like all the same things I do.

ACT is honestly a really easy souls game (albeit a little front-loaded in difficulty), and there is an extensive cheats section. If people are getting completely stuck on some segment and just give up and refuse to go on, well that's completely a problem with them in that case. There are easy ways to resolve these issues.

Not trying to sound elitist or anything, but the truth is that most people simply aren't that good at videos games. Be it due to a lack of skill, a lack of time to acquire skill, or a lack of motivation to acquire skill. The end result is the same. And there is nothing wrong with that normally, but I do agree that it's annoying when those people then approach a game like Dark Souls and claim it's too difficult. If it's too difficult then you're not the target audience. There are so many games out there, you will find something you like that scratches the same itch (like ACT), you don't NEED to play Dark Souls.

The problem is that there is also the assisted difficulty... In a game that is already quite simple... People in games just want to spam a button like in fps
The bosses have been fine, even in NG+

It is just the NG+ platforming/level design that has been kicking my ass, and I am absolutely here for it

Yeah , i tried the first boss now 10 Times . No chance , that fight seems completly random to me , sometimes i can dodge an attack , then the same attack again , i dodged at the same time ... Baam Damage . The same thing for the Lance attack , and the same for the grab . I can`t deal with such unpredictable randomness , it`s not fun and i don`t understand why can someone hate himself so much :)

I was getting my ass kicked in the area after the city, but then I realized how useful blocking is and things are getting better.
