how to start NG+

in the update it says to beat the final boss to enter NG+ but i have like 5 times and it is not working

You need to finish the game, it triggers after the credits.

I simply beat the boss again, skipped the credits and New Game+ was unlocked in the main menu.

Yeah, I'm on version 2.0.000.1. Maybe reinstall the game? You can check whether or not the update is active by trying to enter the museum or going to Topoda to see if you can access boss rush mode.

I’m not sure where I should be Shelleporting to re-fight the final boss. Where can I go for that? Been a minute since I played and I can’t remember where that encounter started

Does your save file have a star icon on it in the top right corner? When you go to File Select? New Game+ operates as creating a new save file slot utilizing your existing completed save. It doesn't actually continue play on your existing completed save.

no that was not my problem my problem was that steam would not update my game to the latest version that came out today so NG+ was not a thing in the version of the game i was playing but uninstalling and reinstalling finally got steam to update it
