Is there any way to reload an old save? (spoilers)

I have been playing for a few days now and I very much enjoy the game; I think it's a very fun game and this problem does not actually impact my overall enjoyment, however it is
a shame to miss something cool. I have reached the Bleached City, specifically the path to the Dark Souls helmet . I got almost to the end, but I landed right on the edge of the island and fell off. However getting to that point was enough to trigger Father Levee's speech and when I respawned on the island with the moving foam, some umami crystals flew to me, leading me to believe that he somehow died. After that I should have just pressed alt+f4 so that the game wouldn't save, but I wanted to check whether there was a way I wouldn't have to do the whole path ordeal again, but I died in my attempt and respawned at the nearby Moon Snail Shell, which obviously saved my game. As such, I am unable to see what is meant to happen on that island, which I would like to see as I believe it is interesting. Is there any way I can reload the game at the save before my last one?

Yeah I figured that might have been it. Unless my little fishy guys managed to kill him but that seems unlikely. I have just moved on, and I will probably just look up someone else's video of the fight.
