Controller button icons now showing properly, and game making the GPU get kinda spicy

Basically what the title says. I'm using a Dual Sense controller and it seems to only work with Steam Input turned on. I am getting working input for movement and menu navigation, etc. But controller button icons are bugged and not showing up. Anyone know a fix for this or is it just a bug? I know the game literally just came out but I figured I would make this issue known.

Also one more thing to mention. I have a 3080Ti and on any settings with the resolution at 1440p or even 1080p it's making my GPU run with a temp upwards of 87 C. So there might need to be some some better resource optimization implemented as well. And my GPU is only at 60% utilization when running the game too so that's kinda weird for it to be getting so hot.

Also please include an option to turn of letter boxing when targeting enemies. It's very disorienting.

I am also having this same issue I am trying to just figure out what each button does what but even when I went to remap controls it did not let me

Yeah. I did manage to figure out all the controls just through trial and error. So I can bear with the issue for now, but it's definitely still inconvenient. I can list out the controls for you in case this might help you: L1 = block [if you have a shell on], X = jump, triangle = interact, circle = dodge/hold to sprint [this can be changed to clicking the left stick in the settings], up on d-pad = heal, R1 = attack, hold for charged attack. And that's all the ones I've had to use so far, but there could be more later for new abilities, etc.

my issue is that all the controls are stuck showing as Xbox when im playing on keyboard. i hope that they implement it so that it changes based on your preferred control method soon.

Oh yeah that's weird. Have you checked to see if Steam Input might be enabled for some reason? If so that could be the cause of your issue. That's the only suggestion I have though unfortunately.

I wish I would at least get that. I know what all the Xbox buttons are so I would even be fine with that but the random words next to the text is just difficult to understand. I had to put the game down for now. Just hoping to get some button image. I had a huge problem when I launched the game where it thought i was holding down on my stick. This is using a Duelsense Edge controller. Brand new so it’s not stick drift.

Still haven't fixed the controller indicator icons though, a whole year later!

Edit: Ah, they do appear to be fixed. I had to restart the game though.
