That CAN help but keep in mind every level up only makes one factor of Kril's power marginally (7%) better. If you're getting the boss down to 7% health, then 7% more something might help. Otherwise you'll need multiple levels (30 minutes of grinding isn't unheard of in a soulslike) or you'll need to change tactics.
Most bosses are better handled with a change of tactics, a fresh perspective (take a break), or practice to learn to react to their moveset. Soulslikes are notorious for the annoying youtubers who like to try to get through a boss without getting hit--because it's usually entirely possible if you git gud enough.
thats supposed to be resolved by movement. Once he starts intimidation, you can react early and roll away. It can miss you. If it hits, move away and you can dodge. You will regain control soon enough and can beat him up.
It hits when you are on the opposite side? Really? Well, it can be iframed then, Thats prob how its not hitting me. Even if I do get hit, he takes time to pounce, just move the scared crab away, you can make it. Or keep eating the sushi shells to heal. Theres like 5+ of em.
One of the bosses I appreciate the most actually, because the big and slow single hitter attacks makes rolling an optimal strategy (I was never really a fan of just using my shell), making this one of the most skillful bosses to beat under leveled. Phase 2 has a multi-hit but it's at least telegraphed pretty well and you can gain distance if you see it coming. Does unfortunately add a tad of luck in the latter half of the fight, but oh well.
